About

I’m a mental health therapist committed to helping individuals, couples, and families address emotional and relationship issues impacting you in the here and now. My sessions are exploratory and collaborative as we get to know each other and seek a better understanding of the changes you are seeking in your life. AREAS OF SPECIALIZATIONS: Trauma-Informed Care: With over 7 years of experience working at a community mental health clinic specializing in treatment of interpersonal trauma, my approach prioritizes safety, empowerment, and healing. Although we can never erase your trauma, I can work with you to help you overcome it and take control of the impacts it may have on you today. I am trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), both evidenced-based treatment of PTSD. Life Transitions: From major life changes like college, marriage, parenthood, or career shifts, I can support you through the emotional ups and downs of life's transitions and help you develop skills to cope through these changes. Intergenerational Family Issues: Family patterns and dynamics often span generations, creating challenges that can be hard to break. I specialize in helping clients unpack intergenerational trauma, communication issues, and unresolved conflicts that are passed down through the family. Immigrant Experiences: Growing up in an immigrant family, my lived experience combined with my training provides me a specialized lens to explore emotional and cultural challenges tied to families adapting to a new country while honoring your unique identity and history. This conflict between cultural expectations can impact relationships across generations and contribute to relationship distress. Supervision for New Therapists and Supervisors: As an Approved AAMFT Supervisor and therapist with diagnostic privilege, I offer clinical supervision for new therapists helping you develop your clinical skills, deepen your understanding of therapeutic practices, and provide guidance as you navigate your professional journey. I also offer supervision for supervisors looking to enhance their leadership and supervisory approach or attain their own Approved Supervisor designation.
